Payment and Fees
Payment in full must be received to hold reservation.
A cleaning fee of $15.00 per item will be collected if it is not returned in the same condition in which you received it. You may be charged an additional fee up to the brand new replacement cost of the Rental Equipment if it is returned damaged, or not returned, regardless of the age of the Rental Equipment at the time of rental. GearME shall determine, in its sole discretion, if damaged Rental Equipment will be repaired or replaced at your expense.

The Primary Renter is responsible for the safe transportation of all Rental Equipment. GearME staff shall approve the security of the load of any Rental Equipment strapped or affixed to a vehicle. Summer Rentals: You must respect the power of the ocean, rivers, streams, lakes, and ponds. They can kill you if you do not take the proper precautions.
ALL PEOPLE ARE REQUIRED TO WEAR A PROPERLY-FITTED PERSONAL FLOTATION DEVICE (PFD) WHILE BOATING OR PADDLEBOARDING IN ANY CAPACITY. You understand that use of a PFD does not remove all risks of injury, nor does use of a PFD make boating or paddleboarding inherently safe.
Winter Rentals: Individuals using rental equipment during the winter must be fully prepared for the extremes of Maine winter, even during short outings. This includes, at a minimum, appropriate layers of synthetic or wool clothing with a waterproof outer layer, hat and gloves, insulated boots, extra layer, hand warmers, a light source, and energy food.
